Shipment #2 has officially arrived in Cuba and cleared Cuban customs—after a long four-month wait—without incident! We are incredibly thankful for God’s provision and faithfulness throughout this process. The container has now been delivered to the Western Baptist Convention of Cuba and is being processed for last-mile distribution to churches throughout the island.

This 40-foot container was sent in partnership with David Gonzalez, former Vice President of the Western Baptist Convention of Cuba, with the support of several churches, ministries, and organizations, including the Florida Baptist Convention, Filter of Hope, Macedonian Call Ministries, Neptune Baptist Church, Trinity Baptist Church, Hope Fleet, and others. Disciples for Cuba (DFC) covered all logistical and shipping costs for the container, while David Gonzalez and the Florida Baptist Convention provided the use of their facilities and the help of several volunteers to prepare and load the container.

DFC used approximately 50% of the container space to send:

40 new sound systems, including microphones and guitar strings
40 portable battery power stations with solar panels
120 folding chairs
20 folding tables
369 packs of crayons and paper

David and his ministry partners used the remaining space to send:

4,000 New Testament Bibles
>5,000 lbs. of Bible tracts and study literature
>6,000 lbs. of dry soup
90 water filters
>100 lbs. of medicines and medical supplies
200 banquet chairs
And much more!

With this successful shipment behind us, we have already begun preparing our next shipment, currently scheduled for late October 2026, and we hope to ship a 4th before Christmas! We would also like to extend a special thank-you to East-West Ministries for generously donating and shipping a like-new Freightliner semi-truck and trailer to the Western Baptist Convention of Cuba! This incredible gift will dramatically improve the Convention’s ability to deliver relief to churches throughout Cuba, including churches that were previously difficult or impossible to reach because of the mechanical condition of the Convention’s existing fleet.
